openvpn with nm or terminal , firefox doesn't work, only opera

Hi! I am trying to connect with network manager openvpn plugin but nothing it hangs and gives a message that connection attempt has stop, because it was timed out.

The other problem is that when I connect with "openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/conf/myconf.conf" the tun device is up, I can see it in ifconfig but no were else in network connections, that is just strange but when I open firefox or epiphany I have no internet, if I open opera I have internet and I get the ip that openvpn has assigned to my pc, other applications like yum also work with the openvpn connection.

does anyone knows how to make "firefox" and "network device control" to see the tun device and if it is possible to connect to an openvpn sever with nm-applet? Thanks!

kernel: 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686
fedora 10 - gnome
nm-applet: 0.7.0
net card:RTL-8139

I disabled completely Network manager (cause its full of bugs, not that network service is perfect):

sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop
sudo /sbin/chkconfig --level 35 NetworkManager off

and I use only network
sudo /etc/init.d/network start
sudo /sbin/chkconfig --level 35 network on

But Still NOTHING with openvpn and firefox. why? its very strange firefox looks like it doesn't get dns or something(i have given the openvpns required dnss)...
help please..anyone got a clue..
