openSuSE 11.2 - now has nscd and netns running - never did before
Hello,
My 'main' workstation, the one I use 18 plus hours a day, 7 days a week is openSuSE 11.2 so there have been NO updates in over a year.
I've updated NOTHING, recently.
I have Always run mozilla nightly or trunk so I update it at least once a day.
Very often I have to kill 'firefox' as it's development version (nightly build) so I Ctrl+Esc (KDE System Activity / kill) very often.
I always type ns to see if 'netscape' plugins or container is killed, so I would have, in 5 years seen these nscd and netsn before
nscd is using process time, not a lot 2% or so, but I've never seen it before...
The only thing that has changed on my network is attaching to this workstation with a messed up install of openSuSE 12.1 logged in as root, but attached to the 11.2 as my user with dolphin, which i hate.
Any ideas?
I can't find any useful information on netns, but the nscd (name server cache daemon) makes sense..
Thanks,
Спасибо,
Landis.
