I'm installing Suse 10.2 on a virtual machine within Windows XP.
Problem: During the installation, Suse cannot automatically find my Internet connection in my network.
Is there anything I can do before this step so that Suse recognizes my internet connection during the installation?
I have a router (192.168.2.1) connected to DSL with two Windows XP machines on it that are both online.
I have no domain name (it's a home network).
I installed Unbuntu in a virtual machine like this and Ubuntu found the Internet connection automatically so I know it is possible.

I had a similar problem in openSuSe. To get around it, I had to select it to run thru KNetworkManager instead of 'ifup.' That's the only way it would connect to the internet. This step doesn't really matter much, once installation finishes, then the internet should run fine despite these errors. I had to configure my internet a bit thru Yast because it was excruciatingly slow and would cut in and out; It had something to do about putting my DNS from my internet provider because my router's gateway address would be the first DNS address if it was done automatically, causing it to run slow.
