opensource nas alternatives

Hy!

Maybe somebody can tell me something about NAS opensource alternativs.

I just read something about open-e but it`s commertial. We tried Free-Nas but that does not work properly especially the rebuild function for Raid does not really work 100%.

Does somebody have an alternative ? Or any experience ?

Thanks!
