open stack ssh log ing

Hi

After hours of running round the server I was wondering if someone could help
when I ssh in to the virtual instance from host (openstack box) the packet comes from 10.3.97.1 and uses the br100 device. if i carry out an ssh from the 10.3.105 network the ssh comes in on eth0 but then doesnt get forward to br100 or 10.3.97.1.

I have tried a variety of nat rules to move this show below

iptables -A FORWARD -i eth0 -o br100
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -d 10.3.97.0/24 -j DNAT --to 10.3.97.1
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -i eth0 -d 10.3.97.0/24 -o br100 -j SNAT --to 10.3.97.1

the output of brctl is as follows

bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
br100 8000.00259096fba9 no eth1
vnet0
vnet1

route -n
