OEL 5.8 Network configuration

I have installed OEL 5.8. I do have an eth0 in my network configuration but the status is inactive and I'm not able to connect to the internet. I am using cable connection to the internet. and I am using DHCP ( I guess, my boss told me) . and once I press on Activate button I get the following error:

th3 device eh0 does not seem to be present, delaying initalization.

do you have any solution for this issue

The problem is solved.

Once I installed the OS. to operating system added to my boot OS. the first one is Oracle linux base UEK. and the other one is Oracle linux base. If I boot from UEK one , I am not able to connect to the internet . but if I boot with the second one, I do have connection and its activate. now I already change the boot os to the second one.

I hope my problem and my repoly to my own post can at least help others who have the same error.
