ntp time sync

Hi, all
I have a valid time server.
when i do
ntpdate 194.159.73.44
I get:
11 Aug 12:20:53 ntpdate[18781]: adjust time server 194.159.73.44 offset -0.021962 sec

but still the clock command says:
Wed Aug 11 13:33:29 2004 -0.038213 seconds

How can i correctly sync it?

thx,

EyeWittness

I am using redhat 9

I had to add ntp2.NL.net to /etc/ntp/step-tickers

and then use

/etc/init.d/ntpd condrestart

this script add rules to iptables firewall
