I am using Redhat Enterprise Linux 4,Want to configure NTOP . For this reason i am using ntop-3.2.tar file . But i don't found any configuration file from any website. I can't find it also from www.ntop.org . Can any one help me to give any web address where
i get NTOP COnfiguration clearly .
ntop is configured via itself, you don't need to personalise any configuration files directly, or didn't need to last time i used it. when you run the ntop exectuable,it starts listening on port 3000 so just go to http://localhost:3000 from the machine itself and you should get ntop.
I have already installed NTOP Rpm Package and Run it using webpage where i write down
"http://localhost:3000" But it shows apachee error . I can't found any port like 3000 using "netstat -nat ' . Can u plz explain what is major work of '3000' port and which service helps to run this port .
Here i mention that my apachee or HTTP service is 100% right in my Linux Enterprise 4 Machine. What is the problem ?...........plz help................
ntop runs on port 3000. apache should not be using that port by default at all. if you start ntop, then that port should accept the connections and that's ntop...
Sorry for disturb . I still can't run NTOP in my pc .
I am using Redhat Enterprise 4 and for NTOP i have installed
"ntop-3.1-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm". Then when i write "http://localhost:3000" in my web page then it can't connect
with my server . Barring this , from "ntsysv" command I can see "NTOP" which is running as Daemon . But i can't restart this service i.e,
when i write "service ntop restart" it can't say nothing .and "3000" port can't run also . Brother plz help me......
When i started using NTOP i had same problem.Run it as user nobody it should go.I use debian in debian i run a dpkg-reconfigure ntop.Answer all question and use it as nobody, ciao!
