Non interactive FTP

I am used to using 'rftp' on SCO machines for non-interactive ftp'ing. I thought that the same may be availible on Linux. Does the standard ftp on linux allow for simple non-interactive ftp'ing or is the an equivalent to 'rftp' availible.
