no table to install silan sc92031 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter on redhat enter linux 5


I am having Redhat enterprise linux 5(RHEL5).i am having trouble installing NIC(silan sc92031 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter),but it is working on win xp sp2(i have dual operating system).While installing RHEL5 i didnt get the option to select eth0.i got a driver cd for silan sc92031 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.I am new to linux please help me in fixing this issue.can you provide me step by step solution for this issue.Thankyou

Look at the output of lspci, and also look at dmesg when the system boots, and see if there's anything that refers to your hardware. Also check the system logs.

Are you using DHCP on this interface, or a static IP? What is the output of ifconfig -a? And since you're using RHEL5, have you contacted RedHat about this? From a very quick Google search, this driver has been available since 2006...they should be able to give you "step by step solution".
