Angry No sync with Conexant broadband router

Hi all, just joined this forum with a question: I am trying to connect RH9 to a
virgin.net ADSL connection via an ADSL/ethernet modem/router which is called
Annext A on the box, model AR41 in the user manual and links to a page
with an IP in the URL for setup which has the Conexant logo and also mentions something called Hasbani. Anyway, everything works with regard to the ethernet/LAN (it's Linux!) but there is no ADSL sync...at all...and the ADSL setup
part of the webpage says "missing ADSL module". With the Virgin/Speed Touch modem and Windoze installation it's fine, that's how I am writing this post. So there's nothing physically wrong with the ADSL line. Do you think it's a setup problem, or maybe the router is defective (I got it free from a friend who bought it by mistake, he has cable). If you want to look at any of my system logs tell me which ones!
