Unhappy Networkcard not found

Installed Crux 2.0 2.6.6 just to learn. My networkcard requires 3c574_cs which I couldn't find so I tried another card (3CCFE575CT-D1). Think it's the 3c59x I should use. First I choose the wrong module to the card so did this:

make menuconfig
made 3c59x to a module
make all
make modules_install
cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /vmlinuz
cp System.map /

run lilo

run modprobe 3c59x
it's now listed in lsmod
alias eth0 3c59x in /etc/modules.conf (don't now if this helps)

make all
make modules_install
cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /vmlinuz
cp System.map /

run lilo

Restarted. When i try lsmod I cannot see any module. In ifconfig I only see lo, not eth0. What's worng?
