Question No Internet with Suse 10.0

Hello,

Ok...I have just installed Suse 10 onto a second drive trying linux. Under yast the card is present but I can't connect to my network or internet. The NIC is realtek 8139. Windows XP works fine and my version of RH 8.0 works with this system. I AM A NEWBIE and have been working with this for 4 days now and finally asking for help on how to resolve the issue. Thanks in advance.

Rudy

Give us an idea of what your network consists of. Give us the output of 'ifconfig' and 'route'. We'll see what we can see.

Ok,

I have cable 6mbs down going into a netgear router part # MR814v2 going into a ZFS3024 Zonet 24 port switch out to my machines. The machine with suse 10 is the one I can't get online. I have a second hard drive for the same system with XP and no problems with network or internet so that makes me think the problem is a setting and not hardware.

I have 6 other systems with windows with no problems and 1 more RH9 machine that works fine on the internet.

here is the report you requested.
