Exclamation No internet or network after upgrading to ubuntu 8.10


ive just upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 and its not recognizing my network connection or usb drive i have to use the old kernel since the new kernel gives me a kernel panic

Would you consider backing up your home directory(s) and installing 8.10 from scratch?
