hello forum

i have installed ubuntu 9.04 on my notebook. everything works except Internet.

i start up and i want to connect to the internet and then it takes a while and then he gives me the screen to type in my wpa key. (this is already filled in)

also if i put in a lan cable it does nothing. it won't say its connected.

i also tried easy peasy same problem. but i was new to that and a friend of mine said to try ubuntu 9.04

het said put in the command: 'lspci' and he thinks its weird it doesn't say anything about an ethernet thing. but everything else is there. display audio.

i have internet on my acer but i have internet on non secure

but when i want to connect to a non secure network it won't work

btw i have the key

maybe this helps when i say when i say if i put in the key and then i say show me the key it doesn't show the key but some other things :S my key is 8 characters and that other thing what comes out is something like 30
