Welcome to LQ.
RHEL 5.2 is an old version (2008), not supposed to work with new hardware.
Latest update is : RHEL 5.8, and soon to come : RHEL 5.9.
This will update your kernel : # yum install kernel
But why not install RHEL 6.3 ?
Or better, the identical free version requiring no license : CentOS 6.3.
( RHEL is useless without a subscription / license.)
