NIS on centos - Can't get correct rpcinfo reply

Hello everyone,
I'm setting up NIS on CentOS 4.3, here's how (horrible) it looks like:

<<<
# rpcinfo -u 10.0.0.202 ypserv
rpcinfo: RPC: Program not registered
program 100004 is not available
# /etc/init.d/ypserv restart
Stopping YP server services: [FAILED]
# /etc/init.d/ypserv restart
Stopping YP server services: [FAILED]
# /etc/init.d/ypserv start
# /etc/init.d/ypserv stop
Stopping YP server services: [FAILED]
# ps -ef | grep rpcinfo
root 3737 3591 0 10:52 pts/1 00:00:00 grep rpcinfo
# ps -ef | grep yp
root 3656 1 0 10:35 ? 00:00:00 rpc.yppasswdd
root 3739 3591 0 10:52 pts/1 00:00:00 grep yp
>>>

I'm also seeing this in /var/log/messages

<<<
May 25 10:46:47 merckx portmap[3693]: cannot bind udp: Address already in use
>>>

lso here is how portmap looks

<<<
rpcinfo -u localhost ypserv
rpcinfo: RPC: Program not registered
program 100004 is not available
>>>

<<<
# /etc/init.d/portmap stop
Stopping portmap: [ OK ]
# portmap -dv
server: about do a switch
portmap[3849]: connect from 127.0.0.1 to dump()
server: about do a switch
portmap[3851]: connect from 127.0.0.1 to getport(ypserv)
>>>

For hostname and domainname

<<<
# hostname
merckx.CORRECT.FQDN
# domainname
(none)
# nisdomainname
(none)
>>>

/etc/hosts points by hostname and by FQDN to the correct server IP.

Help?

Thank you,
Maxim.

Solved by setting NISDOMAIN=yournisdomain in /etc/sysconfig/network

Thank you.
