Nis master and slave servers on diff architecture

Hi.

I am in the process of designing a small NIS setup and wonder whether having the NIS master on an Irix box and the slave on a Suse linux is possible.

I know that the actual process of deriving the NIS maps is architecture specific, but don't know if this extends to the Master/slave setup.

Thanks.
