NFS question
 
Hi,

I would like to mount a file system and cd rom to another linux box on our network. Do I need to run NIS in order to us NFS ? Thanks in advance.

No you don't have to run NIS to use NFS.

I am trying to mount CD ROM drive to another box and having problem there to mount. What things need to be run on the server?
