NFS or Samba?

So, I'm trying to create an NAS using fedora, and I'm wondering if NFS is worth the trouble, or if I should just go with samba. Layout of network:

1 Vista desktop, dual-boots Ubuntu (Ubuntu rarely used)
1 Ubuntu desktop (never used, hoping to convert to the NAS)
1 Vista laptop, dual-boots openSUSE (SUSE used sometimes)
1 XP netbook
1 XP desktop
1 PS3

I'm thinking of just using Java PS3 Media Server for the PS3, but I'm not sure whether to use NFS or Samba to accommodate for the others.

EDIT: Frick. Will someone please delete/move this? Sorry, wrong section.

Depends if you want to have user restrictions. I would go for NFS, it's easier than samba to setup.

Thanks. I'm going with samba... Just another question, does samba require a client for the machines that it serves?
