NFS Issues: rpcinfo -p hangs and RPC...Program not registered...
Hello all,
I am trying to get my feet wet, configuring a NFS server (Gutsy).
I have followed the tutes on NFS howto, configured my hosts.allow, host.deny and exports.
when trying to manually mount the NFS drives, I get the RPC error, so I went back to the server.
When trying to run the command rpcinfo -p or rpcinfo -p alpha
it hangs. I have also manually restarted the services, and nfs-common takes a long time to start back up.
What piece of the puzzle am I missing?
