nfs access

Hello,

I've got two machines. A Proliant ML110 with a SuSE 9.1 and a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with a SuSE 9.1.
The two have been shared directories on the Toshiba for a long time in good conditions.
Recently I've had to reload from zero the
Toshiba Laptop with a SuSE9.1
Since then it's no more possible to share all hdd on the Toshiba Laptop.
NFS server is installed on the Laptop
NFS server is active
/etc/exports contains
/ *.domainname(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
exportfs on LapTop gives / *.domainname

When I issue the following command from Proliant logged root
mount -t nfs LapTop:/ /montage_nfs
I can see under /montage_nfs all the directories. But when I want to ls /montage_nfs/home I don't see any files/directories.

What I want is to have access to all directories and subdirectories on the LapTop.

Has someone an idea ?
Thanks in advance for any hint

Maybe you have mounted something on /home? because if you export / and lets say that that is /dev/hda1 and you mounted /dev/hda2 on /home, /home will not be accessible with NFS because you have to export it again since it is another partition.

and maybe you have to run exportfs -r ,i thought it was neccesary on debian systems.

I hoped this helped you a bit.

cheers

Thanks a lot goestin.
It's such a silly thing !!!
I had in memory the previous installation with
all in a single mount point.
But now I've 3 mount points and .... in fact
/home is another mount point as /.

Problem solved
Bye
