Newbie: The best way to share directories with MS Windows
 
Hi.

I would like to share my Linux directories with MS Windows machines, and
my MS Windows directories with Linux machines.

Where can I find literature about this?

Samba is the best solution to perform this? Must I installed anything else
on MS Windows?

Samba will allow you to share files as if it was another windows box and vice versa using the network neighborhood in windows. More info can be found here:

most distros have a GUI tool to set this up for you. In my limited experience understanding a bit about samba is a great idea but can lead to problems.
