Unhappy Newbie Needs Help... Drivers


In RedHat 9 I cannot seem to install the broadcom 4401 integrated NIC i have downloaded the drivers from ASUS and followed the instructions and have only come back with errors. i have the file from an older kernel and it will not let me install it auto so i would sincerely appreciate any help on how to pach the file bcm4400.o into the kernel or how to updae the file for the kernel but pretty much any way how to make that file compatible for the redhat linux 9 kernel

thanks for nothing people who looked but it dont matter because as we (i) speak, i am surfing from mozilla on my redhat linux machine. for those of you who are reading to find out what ii did because you are newbies too. well, it was a matter of packages. you have to upgrade your installation with relevant kernel packages and then follow the instructions from your driver manual... that did it for me and it worked like a charm... start to finish 5 minutes with proper packages so try that anyone who needs help.

whatspecifically needs to be added and how does one do this without connecting the computer to the internet? Where are the extra pieces found? Just purchased the G40 two days ago.
