You need to run the same routing protocol on Linux as you are running on your Cisco router.

Are you doing this just for fun?

Normally routers connect 2 or more networks together. They use a routing protocol to find out which interface to send packets out of. Routing protocols help routers learn where other networks are.

I'm sure there is plenty of documentation online, you need to be more specific about what you want.

Try with OSPF. It's an open standard and I know it works on Linux.
