networking WinME to Linux Gnome, sharing Dial-up, using ethernet cards and hub

Maybe I should post in he newbies, that is what I am, but it's a networking question.... Namely, HowTo? I've been searching google and the linux sites and forums for a simple, detailed guide to networking Linux Debian Gnome and WinME and received no simple solutions. If anyone has any suggestions for online guides or would like to give me instructions or guide me through the process, I'd be terribly grateful.

I've got dial-up to the WinME comp and I'd like to share it with the linux comp, as well as share files between the two.

Many, many, thanks.

According to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234815 Windows ME has internet connection sharing. Just enable it for dialup connection to share it with the linux box. To hook up the linux box to windows machine you can either use a switch or crossover cable to connect computers directly. You can then share the files over ssh using a program like CoreFTP or you can just share a folder using samba.
