Ok I have a cheap little Microsoft-based network(It was made by Microsoft and it has three Windows computers hooked up to it) and I was wondering Can I hook up a Linux system to it-the only reason Im asking is because I am 99% sure that the software doesnt work with Linux.
it depends what u want in networking. if u want a main server and other windows client then samba software can help you
it will be good if u can be more elobrative ,
thanks
couldnt get you. but what i got is from my experience,
if u want your network to be attached to external network then just specify the IP address of the server in the gateway and one external DNS server in the setting of linux system
you need to provide more details about this network. what do you mean "it
was made by microsoft" ? Is there a DSL/Cable router involved (M$ doesnt
make those to my knowledge)...give some real details.....what software
are you talking about?
