Network stops working on 2/3 distros after Gentoo installation.
Installed Debian and Slack on an external USB HDD, both worked fine. Installed Gentoo using the alternative Gentoo install method. Internet stopped working on Slack and Debian, but not Gentoo.
Partition table for my USB drive looks like this:
/dev/sdb1 * 1 32 257008+ 83 Linux (Deb Boot)
/dev/sdb2 * 33 64 257040 83 Linux (Slack Boot)
/dev/sdb3 * 65 96 257040 83 Linux (Gen boot)
/dev/sdb4 97 60801 487612912+ 5 Extended
/dev/sdb5 * 97 128 257008+ 83 Linux (Empty)
/dev/sdb6 129 912 6297448+ 82 Linux swap /
/dev/sdb7 913 2780 15004678+ 83 Linux (Deb root)
/dev/sdb8 2781 4648 15004678+ 83 Linux (Slack root)
/dev/sdb9 4649 6516 15004678+ 83 Linux (Gen root)
/dev/sdb10 6517 8384 15004678+ 83 Linux (empty)
/dev/sdb11 8385 60801 421039521 83 Linux (storage)
If I chroot to the Gentoo, Slack or Debian system from the Debian system on my internal HDD (sda), it messes with the debian(sda) install and can no longer connect to the internet.
Seems like whatever the Gentoo install did, it has become viral. Why would a linux install be leaking radioactive cyber waste between partitions?
Oh, and if I boot debian(sda) with the USB drive plugged in, debian(sda) can't connect to the internet, until I reboot without the USB drive.
