Network shuts down after closing a network usage program

When I use the Azureus bit torrent client, the torrent downloads fine. However when I exit the program my router shuts down. None of my computers on my network can access the internet or any other computer on the network. I would like to be able to use the bit torrent program without having to reset my router every time I exit the Azureus program. Does anyone know why this is ocurring? If so do you know how to fix it?

I am running SuSe 10.0, Azureus 2.3.0.4, Netgear WGT624 Router.

Thanks

Try another torrent program. See if the same symptoms comes up.

This looks rather like a NetGear Router issue. Upgrade the firmware, see if it helps.

I have tried to use KTorrent and Bit Torrent both torrent clients download to slow for me to use. When I use Azureus I can get the download rate up to 30-50 kB/s pretty quickly. For example, I downloaded a 350 Mb file in both KTorrent and Azureus. It took a few days to download using KTorrent and it took about 2 hours using Azureus. Anyway, I am going to try BitTornado bit torrent client. There is one thing that I have to do first. Which is install wxPython. I have downloaded the spec file and the src.rpm. Its been a while since I created an rpm from a src rpm. Would someone help me with this? I got wxPython from www.wxpyython.org I have python 2.4
