Hi,

I am new to this world and jus installed linux. i got a problem with network settings. i have given an ip address and gateway to my eth0 while installing linux. after finishing installation i tried to add a static route for a any destination saying

network : 0.0.0.0
mask: 0.0.0.0
gateway : my gateway IP ( Router)

when i tried to save this by clicking APPLY button its giving an error. saying that this might be a bug and suggested me to report it at redhat bugzilla.

more over i am not able ping my gateway. i am able to self ping to local host and my IP.
i am able to view all the routes in routing table and result of ifconfig command is ok.

plz help me solve this problem.

Can you give us the output of this on your machine and one other on the network:
ifconfig
route -n

Also - what is the IP address of the gateway.
