network performance tuning


does anyone have info on how i could tune the linux kernel for maximum network performance with my current adsl line? (specifically IPV4 settings for linu x that may improve overall performance)

i didnt hear anything about configuring kernel for max net performans. u can compile costum kernel but there isnt an option like max. performans. u can just add some net protocols or remove some unnecessary protocol support from kernel. are asking about QoS (Quality of Service)? u better prefer cache proxy service (squid) to improve performance.
