Network Manager refuses to connect

Hi all,

I am trying to connect to a wireless network encrypted with WEP using its passphrase, but network manager disconnects when optaining a IP address.

It seems this happens with any distro and any wireless access point when using a passphrese (for example : "82:20:48:36:72") but it connects with the ascii code!

Does anyone have a solution for this?

try to install wicd, nm is crap and buggy

I tried what you suggested but no luck! It cannot connect to the access point.

I forgot to say that i could connect to it with wlassistant in backtrack!
But i cannot find a package of wlassistant for opensuse 11.1, and the one for 10.3 is not compatible with 11.1.
I also tried to compile it from source but failed (errors!).

Do you know where can i find a precompiled package for 11.1?
