Netgear GA311 not at gigabit speeds

My kernal version is 2.6.32.10-90.fc12.i686.PAE

Im running Fedora 12.

It auto-detected the card, but it's only operating at 100mb/s. It's connected to a gigabit switch. The driver auto-installed for the card is r8169. How do i get it up to the speed is should be at? Its kinda why i bought it...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: I returned the card and ordered an Intel I69-6010. It got incredible reviews with linux. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Did you tried to check cable and all the other things. Because very often the connection isn't well and that means 1Gbit isn't possible.

The connection was good. I read up on it some more after i posted this and i guess it has something to do with the realtek chip on the card and the driver fedora auto assigned to it wasnt right. Instead of hunting for a driver that doesnt exist i just returned the card and ordered one online that looks very promising.
