Netconfig under Suse 7.1


Hallo

I m running linux Suse 7.1 im my computer, it's connected with a linux server. I need help to config my network. I m newbie and my native language is portuguese = ).

I m waiting for answers

Hi,
May i ask why you are using an outdated version of SuSE?
And, does Suse 7.1 have a program called YaST - If it doesn't new versions do and you can configure your network easily from that.

Hi Mary,

I m 19 years old and two years ago i bougth a book and a cd to learn linux, but i ve never had the chance to install it.

My Linux has yast and yast 2.

Click the SuSE (Start) icon bottom-left, then goto System, then YaST.
Type in your root password and click OK.
Click 'Network Devices' in the menu, and then 'Network Card'. Select your network card and follow the on-screen instructions.
I am not sure if the layout of SuSE 7.1 (i am using Suse 9.1 Personal) is the same as mine, but it should be similar enough.

Have you thought about upgrading/installing a newer version of Linux?

So i try to configure my network with yast, but doesnt work...

Look that
my modules.conf:
