Need To configure my DSL Modem

I am commiting the GREAT desacration of posting here from a Windows machine. I can't get my new Linux box to connect through my DSL Modem.

I'm Useing a 2Wire Home Portal. I JUST installed SuSE 9.1 Pro on a seperate removable Drive, and spent the better part of two hours setting it up. Now, everything works but my sound and my DSL modem. Its recognizing my Ethernet (Part of the nVidia NForce2 Chipset on my MSI Main Board) port just fine, but its weirding out at the Modem. I've got the Drivers for the modem on CD... but they're all for Windows Systems.

I've Checked out 2Wire's home page, and all they offer is drivers for Win and Mac... I thought briefely that I might be able to make the Mac Drivers work... because the new Mac OSs work in a Unix Shell... but that seemed just a bit far fetched... I've checked SuSE's home page, and I've run Google searches for New open source out on the net...

Right now, I'm left with nothing... any help out here?

Thanks for your time,

Linux, UNIX, and other devices supported by manual configuration.

If you use Windows to look at the modem's configuration and how Window's NIC is set up what does it say?
Sounds like it will be a matter of setting your Linux network information correctly.

Looking over the information it would appear you just need to open YAST -> Network Devices -> Network Card, and set your NIC to use DHCP.

Thanks. I'm just new to this. I think the Problem was that despite my best efforts, I was NOT as configured as I thought I was on the Main Board. The nVidia Chipset just wasn't doing what it was supposed to. I installed my old NetGear Eathernet Card, reconfigured my Modem as a PPP over ATM with a VPI/VCI of 0.38, and it worked just fine...

So... Now I'm off to resolve the issue I'm having with my Sound Blaster Audigy.

Thanks for your help Mate.
