Need help with SiS900 Ethernet card


i need help with a SiS900 ethernet card on my labtop, it doesn't get an IP from the DHCP server, and when i set an static IP i can ping it from outside but i can't ping anything from it..

What distro? What error messages when trying to get an IP? What kind of connection, thru router or direct connection on LAN? What modules do you have loaded and what is your output of ifconfig eth0? Do you have more than one NIC, either built in, etc? Output of lspci? More details please, as much as you can provide?

I'm running Fedora Core 1. When the linux boots it says "Bringing up interface eth0: Failed"
It's connected through a router whit an DHCP server
