need help with network printers

I have two printers on my home network. These two printers are connected to windows XP SP2 coomputers. When I try to install a printer using the system-config-printer utility the program can not find other computers on my network. I would like to be able to have a printer to use under linux.

I am currently using fedora core 3, I am trying to connect to the printer using SMB.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know

Request for more details:

Are there two printers attached to 1 XP computer, or something else?

Can you see each printer from each of the two XP computers (if there are two)?

1) Each printer is connected to the printer port on a seperate XP machine.
2) yes I can see the printer that is not attached to the computer that I am working on.

If you need more info let me know.
