Hi iam completly New @ Linux just got Slackware installed but cant connect to it on Telnet from my Win xp macine i have 3 comps and the linux 1 have a realy bad monitor so i want to sit by this comp any way how do i open port 23 ?
Stay away from telnet if any of your networked systems are connected to the internet, go for ssh get it at http://www.openssh.org there are clients for windows platform to support ssh, some are free others are not - spend some time on google to find them. And here is the one most popular amongst windows boys and girls http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
