Need help setting up LTSP

Hi All,

I am attempting to setup LTSP in my windows NT domain. I have installed a R.H 9.0 server with DHCP that will work with the LTSP workstations.

Because I am running an NT domain, I already have a DHCP server that I need to keep up and running.

I am trying to figure out how to set it up so that the windows DHCP server does not reply to the linux workstations, and have the Linux DHCP server only reply to them.

Has anyone set this up before? If so, any tips or idea's.

TIA for any help..

Welcome to LQ.

The clients will use the first DHCP server they find so I think you will need physical seperation or handle all the DHCP via the RedHat box.

Is it possible to use LTSP and have the clients obtain their IP address from the NT DHCP server?

I ahve never done it but I would imagine it is possible if your DHCP server can provide the same information as the linux one.
