Need help configuring my DSL

Back again...I gave up on trying to get drivers for my wireless adapter...long story, won't go into it now. So I made a hard connection to my router through my onboard LAN - RealTech RTL8136. I set up an ethernet connection, which activates fine - but nothing's making it to my router (can't even ping it). According to my comp, the only IP's that exist are 192.168.2.17 (me) and 127.0.0.1. So I tried to set up an xDSL connection, with the same device, and it won't even activate. I've tried everything I can think of, and I've no idea how to set up networks in windows...let alone linux.
The router is a Belkin F5D6230-3, and I'm running Redhat 9 under Gnome. The mainboard is an MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR.

And I want my internet :( :sniff:

Well apparently I was wrong...the RTL8136 was the ethernet card I put in there when I was trying to get redhat to recognize something. Kudzu was confusing the hell out of me, and the onboard lan was making my router respond (the lights, at least), so I thought it was talking about the onboard.
The hardware browser doesn't show any ethernet devices now, as I've taken out the card I put in there before. How do I find out what ethernet card is onboard? My motherboard manual doesn't tell me, and MSI's website
(http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=436) doesn't appear to either.
