Need Help


DEAR ALL,

I JUST RECEIVED THE BOX(IBM X3200), AND i INSTALLED REDHAT V.4 UPDATE 4.

I HAVE 2 ETHERNET CARDS, AND NEED NEED HELP TO CONFIGURE.

HOW I AM ABLE TO CHECK HOW ETH CARDS ARE WORKING?

Please do not use ALL CAPS, this is bad.
As root try
Code:
ifconfig -a
This will list all the network cards even if they are not setup, if they are setup then you will see the IP address assigned.
Its also worth running
Code:
dmesg
as this will list all the messages created at startup and should show any assignments by the kernel to any netword cards found.
