Nautilus cannot display Remote SFTP Location.
Hi,
When i try to connect to a remote-sftp server with nautilus I get the following message: Nautilus cannot display "sftp://server". Please select another viewer and try again. When i start from it from the terminal it gives me the following error message: ** (nautilus:12681): WARNING **: in nautilus-applicablle-views.c, got unhandled GnomeVFSResult 6 (I/O error). If this is a legitimate get_file_info result, please tell sullivan@eazel.com so he can write a decent user-level error message for it. I can access the sftp server from the prompt bij the command sftp stef@server. Then it works. When i go to nautilus and go to sftp://stef@localhost/ everything works fine for me. Why can't I connect to a remote machine in nautilus via SFTP? I run debian unstable. thanks, Stef Spijkerman Amsterdam, Holland |
Downgrade the version of openssh on both machines from 5.6 to 5.5.
