Name server configuration problem

Hi all
I have a SuSE Enterprise 10, and I want to configure it for hosting my site. I use Yast for configuring DNS, and everything wirks fine. I can access to http://www.mydomain.com via the web or by ping.
I wanna have http://mydomain.com as well (without www). But it doean't work. A friend of mine has told me that I must add an @ record to my domain zone. But when I try to add Record Key with @ value, the yast tells me:
Code:
Error
A valid domain name consists of components separated by dots.
Each component contains letters, digits, and hyphens. A hyphen may not
start or end a component and the last component may not begin with a digit.
What is the probem? I tryed A, CNAME, NS, and MX type, without any success.

Perhaps this will help. Never used yast for setting a nameserver up, so maybe you could just edit the files directly
