my nic not working in mandrake 10


Hi all,

I have intel MT 1000 desktop nic in mandrake 10.0 , during installation itself it detected and i given
the ip address,link ok in system as well as switch side, but during booting shows eth0 failed.

What will the problem?

Have a look at /etc/modules.conf if the right driver is given to the card. Donīt know in which directory the drivers are stored in mandrake but maybe you have to change the module for the card. Whats the output of dmesg regarding the network card? What gives a ifconfig -a?
