Multicast
 

Hi friends,
While doing multicast testing i got confused.I am using Fedora Core 4. The reason is when receiver is waiting for message & also when sender sends the message packet, there is no entry in the /proc/net/ip_mr_vifs & /proc/net/ip_mr_cache. Both remains uneffected whether receiver is waiting & sender seds the packets or not. But i am getting entries in the /proc/net/dev_mcast & /proc/net/igmp.

What may be cause and any effect on the multicast application. Plz any one send your precious advice. Thanks in advance.
