Are you trying to logon to the messenger service or the MSN dialup?

If you are trying to logon the dialup you can use whatever ppp dialer you want.
Use the User ID of your master account with an "MSN/" in front of the user name eg. (MSN/account_name) and the password is what ever your password is for that account.

Note the MSN must be capitalized.

This is what I had to do for my connection. I am locked in a dial-up contract with MSN until July, after that I will be jumping on the high-speed bandwagon.
When I signed up for MSN I didn’t know anything of Linux, now 80% of my time is in Linux.

Hope this helps you.
Sorry about babbling on, I am @ work and board!
