Angry MSN file transfer trouh linux router


Can anyone help me setting up my Coyote router, my clients cant talk or send files with MSN

There may be many reasons. First check if your firewall is dropping some MSN connections. Look into /var/log/messages and browse DENY lines. If it's dropping too much you need to reconfigure your firewall (unblock ports).

ive been to linuxquestions.com and ive seen there that I need to open UDP ports 1681 - 1690, but how do I do this

Find your firewall script (usually /etc/rc.firewall) and send it there. You need to modify it but it's hard to say how not knowing how is it written.
