MSN & Yahoo Msngr through squid proxy

I'm running squid on RHEL ES 3 . Browsing is fine from windows clients.

But I'm unable to connect to neither MSN messsenger nor Yahoo Messenger through the proxy server. I tried changing the settings like

use a proxy server/Do not use a proxy server on MSN and Yahoo

I'ven't given any kind of restrictions in Squid .I'll list the minimum settings that I changed.

http_port 8080

icp_port 3130

cache_peer 8080 3130 proxy-only

acl myacl

http_access allow myacl

can anyone help me in this issue

Thanking you in anticipation

Just for anyone else with similar problems, I believe that mine was that the certain streams were being blocked. I don't believe it was a squid problem.
