MRGT and SMC 7004BR problems

hey,
i run a redhat 9 box and wan't to monitor the incoming and outgoing WAN traffic from my SMC 7004BR(updated to the most recent firmware which supprts SNMP)...

does any run mrtg and monitors his smc 7004br traffic successful?

it seems that my box can't access the router?
just tried a windows app and it worked fine...
any ideas???

that's my problem too.In window it's fine but not in redhat.It can't get SNMP respone.What's the problem?I think SNMP client doesn't work right
