Mounting Network Drives

I know how to mount a witndows drive with the
mount -t smbfs -o ..................

Is there is simular way for me to mount another Linux drive (ext2fs) like this? Its a pain in my ass to set up a ftp account everytime in need to transfer files from the laptop to my desktop. Thanks in advance!

You can try to use the NFS instead of FTP.

If your using Slackware, it should be easy to setup NFS in which I would recommend. Try browsing the forums here, there is much info on how to setup, especially in Slack, I recall myself answering several questions regarding NFS using Slack.
